Towadako (十和田湖) is part of the Towada-Hachimantai National Park and is the largest caldera lake on main island.
It is located on the border between Akita and Aomori, and color of lake is bright blue due to its deep depth of 71m as average depth.
It is famous for its autumn colors especially Oirase Keiryu as we previously introduced is the most famous autumn spots.
Visitor can enjoy the nature of Lake Towada by sightseeing boat, joining canoe tour and walking along the lake and Oirase stream.
(Access) It takes 135 min. By JR bus from JR Hachinohe station by bus.
The bus is required seat reservations and operate from April to November.
